The Beauty of Belok/Sidan Flower Garden: A Hidden Paradise in Badung Regency

Belok / Sidan Flower Park is located in Belok Village, Petang District, Badung Regency, Bali Province.  It is located in a high mountainous area with hilly road contours and has beautiful views typical of the hills. The name of this flower field is sometimes called Marigold or for the surrounding community is commonly called Gemitir Flower Garden. This flower has long been cultivated by the surrounding community, and has become a source of livelihood in the form of Bali Marigold Flower Fields. The function of this Marigold flower itself is often used in ritual activities for religious events of the Balinese Hindu traditional community. Gemitir flowers are usually used in a series of worship events and for offerings which are usually mixed with rice and incense.This flower is quite unique, it always grows at the beginning of each month, so according to its name "Marigold" which means "Each throughout the month". So if you want to visit here, please come at the end of the month before the flowers are harvested. Marigolds are suitable for tropical climates and low to high altitudes with cool temperatures ranging from 28-30 degrees Celsius. It flowers all year round, even during the summer months, and grows well.
