MEGEGOBOG


Megegobog means creating loud noises and is celebrated one day before the Nyepi Day of Silence. This ritual is carried out in Jimbaran by local youth, who are divided into three groups and walk in three different directions accompanied by traditional songs. They then gather at a single meeting point to symbolically throw fire, followed by traditional art and cultural performances.
